Werk It x Second Home Podcast
Bootcamp Application Criteria

The Werk It x Second Home Bootcamp was created for women+ from the LA metro area who are new to audio and podcasting. It is an opportunity for them to learn the basics of show development, audio recording, marketing, and more, as well as a chance to make professional connections with leading podcasters.

We are considering applications according to the following criteria.

Experience: The bootcamp is designed for podcasters with little to no experience or industry connections.

Diversity: Werk It seeks to increase diversity and representation in our industry. We strongly encourage people of color, people of marginalized genders, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, people over the age of 50, and others whose voices have been underrepresented in our industry to apply.

Impact: A successful application will have a clear statement of purpose that explains how attending the Werk It x Second Home Bootcamp will offer an opportunity to learn and further the applicant's podcasting ambitions.

Geography: Applicants must currently reside in one of the following LA metro area counties: Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern, San Bernardino, Riverside or Orange counties.

Financial need: In a spirit of inclusion and accessibility, we are offering this program free of charge.  Students, freelancers, retirees, nonprofit employees, and non-working individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.

If these criteria doesn’t fit you but you’re still eager to join us at Werk It, head on over to werkitfestival.com and join our professional conference happening on October 3-4, 2019 at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles!
